Land Use Recovery Plan (LURP)

The Land Use Recovery Plan (LURP) took effect on 6 December 2013.

It is a statutory document that directs the Waimakariri District Council to make changes to its District Plan. Some of these changes have already occurred while others are to be developed by the Council and provided to the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery within specified timeframes.

Environment Canterbury, in collaboration with the recovery strategy partners, undertook a review of the Land Use Recovery Plan in 2015.

Further information, including the consultation pamphlet, monitoring report and links to the LURP and its background material is available on the LURP Review web page.
