The Council holds information on every property in the Waimakariri District. All property files are held in electronic format.

If you wish to view a property file, either call into the Rangiora Service Centre, or complete the Release of Information Form and email to records@wmk.govt.nz.

There is no charge to view your own property file in person at the Rangiora Service Centre, but for the provision of electronic information via email, disk or USB, there will be a small charge as outlined in the Release of Information Form

If you want to view a file for a property you don’t own, a small charge will also apply.

Buying a Property

If you are considering purchasing a property, we recommend you get a LIM (Land Information Memorandum). This will give you extra information that isn't included in the property file that may affect the property you are looking at, such as resource consents granted for neighbouring properties.
