We will be installing a new culvert to enclose the existing drain and constructing a new footpath over it between Ashley Street and Edward Street.

In May 2024 the Townsend Reserve Playground was completed. Over time some areas of the asphalt footpaths have subsided, leading to water ponding. The work we are carrying out is to address the slumped areas and prevent further cracking.

Mafeking Footbridge has had multiple layers of non-slip matting added over the years to repair patches and maintain the surface. These multiple layers will be removed and replaced with a new single layer of high-quality surface matting.

As part of the Waimakariri District Council Maintenance Contract, Isaac Construction will be undertaking road resurfacing on Island Road and Tram Road intersection, Clarkville.
