Construction has begun on the new retail and commercial development on the corner of High and Ashley Streets.

In mid 2025 Council carried out consultation with the residents of Old North Road, on the alternative option of a neighbourhood Greenway as part of the Kaiapoi to Pineacres cycleway facility.

Since the previous information notice circulated mid 2023 and the subsequent consultation, Council has approved construction of a key portion of cycleway between Kaiapoi and Pineacres.
