Civil  Works Prequalification

The Waimakariri District Council has established a prequalification list for the procurement of Civil Works. This list currently covers thirteen categories of Civil Works, which are detailed in the Related Links section of this page.

If you have any prequalification enquiries, please email pdurequests@wmk.govt.nz

Further information on the types of activities covered by these categories can be found in the Related Information section at the bottom of this web page. You can find the list of Pre-Qualified Suppliers here.

The intent is for all suppliers who provide the work covered by the above categories to be prequalified in order to undertake the work, which will streamline the tendering process.

While suppliers will have the opportunity to prequalify as part of an open tender process, it is strongly recommended that they prequalify ahead of time.

Contractors are able to make a prequalification application using the relevant form above, and by returning it to the email address on the form.

Trades Services Panel

The Trades Services Panel is a panel of specialist trade suppliers who can provide reactive and planned trade services with an aim to:

  • Streamline the procurement process via appoint suppliers allowing greater throughput of work and to ensure delivery of the required outcomes as approved in the Council’s long-term plan.
  • Develop an environment where the Council benefits from trade service innovation and excellence that delivers the best whole of life solution for our ratepayers.
  • Ensure the application of good assurance and management practices to the works delivered under this panel arrangement.

You can find the list of appointed suppliers to the Trades Services Panel here.
