Youth Service Awards

The Youth Council have established a Community Youth Service award that will celebrate the contribution and accomplishments of youth in the Waimakariri District.

Criteria:

• Recognition of the positive impact on the community through their volunteering
• Any person aged 12-24 years who has carried out significant voluntary service in the Waimakariri District to: the arts, culture, education, health, recreation, sport, welfare or youth can be nominated by any two (2) citizens of the Waimakariri District.

The first of the Youth Service awards were presented in September 2022.
