Communities across the District will come together this ANZAC Day to remember and reflect.

A range of ANZAC services and commemorations are planned to honour those who served and sacrificed.

Road Closures:

  • Raven Quay will be closed between Williams Street and Black Street from 6am to 8am.
  • Davie Street and Sewell Street will be closed from 8am to midday, with stop/go in place on Charles Street.
  • Sections High Street, Ivory Street, Ashley Street, Victoria Street, Percival Street and Alfred Street around the Rangiora Cenotaph will be closed from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Alternative routes will be available via Blackett Street, Queen Street, King Street and East Belt.
  • Stop/go will be in place at the intersection of Mill Road and Cust Road in Cust.
  • Stop/go will be in place at the intersection of North Eyre Road and Earlys Road in West Eyreton.

Council Service Centres

  • Closed on ANZAC Day and ANZAC Day observed (Monday)
  • For urgent issues, please contact our after hours service at 0800 965 468.

Waimakariri Libraries

  • Closed on ANZAC Day and ANZAC Day observed (Monday).

Kerbside Collections

  • There are no changes for Monday's collections
  • Bins and bags should be out by 7am.

Transfer Stations

  • ANZAC Day, Saturday - Southbrook Resource Recovery Park will be closed
  • Transfer Stations will be open as usual for the remainder of ANZAC weekend, including Monday.

Aquatic Facilities

There will be no scheduled programmes from Saturday 25 April to Monday 27 April.

Our pools wiil be open:

  • Saturday 25 April, 1pm – 7pm
  • Sunday 26 April, 7.30am – 7pm
  • Monday 27 April, 10am – 7pm
  • Tuesday 28 April, 6am – 9pm.
