What the Beep? Smarter Cars, Safer Roads

Ever wondered what all those beeps, buzzes and flashing lights in your car are trying to tell you?

Modern vehicles are packed with clever safety features – but too often, drivers aren’t sure what they are, or how to use them.

Waimakariri District Council and Rangiora Motor Group are teaming up once again to help take the mystery out of motoring with a free, fun and informative seminar.

Rangiora Motor Group is supplying cars and trained technicians, and the Council is supplying a bite to eat at the end of the night.

This light-hearted seminar, perfect for the young, old and young at heart, will demystify Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), showing you what those driving aids actually do, how to use them, and how they can make your time on the road safer and easier.

“This free event has space for around 30 people and is a great way to talk through what safety systems are in modern cars, why they’re there, and how they make our roads safer,” says Council’s Road Safety Coordinator, Peter Daly.

Rangiora Motor Group Sales Manager Russell Lane adds, “Cars have changed a lot over the years, and many drivers aren’t using the full range of safety tech at their fingertips. This class is perfect for anyone – whether you’re new to driving or have been behind the wheel for decades – who wants to know what those bells and whistles do.”

Spaces are limited – so if you want to finally answer the question “What the beep?” and get smarter (and safer) on the road, book your spot today.
