Dog owners: it’s that time of year – dog registration renewal time.
It is important to register your dog every year as part of being a responsible dog owner.
If your dog has been previously registered with Waimakariri District Council, you should receive a renewal notice by mid-June.
When you receive your renewal form you can:
- Pay online
- Pay by internet banking
- Visit a service centre at Rangiora, Oxford or Kaiapoi.
Beat the rush and pay for your dog registration by the end of July, before the fee increases.
Are your details up to date?
If you have moved house during the year and haven’t updated your contact details with us, please let us know as soon as you can. It’s important that we can send your renewal notice to the right address. Better yet – you can opt to receive renewal notices via email instead.
If your multi-year dog tag needs to be replaced, you can let us know by either visiting one of our service centres or by emailing office@wmk.govt.nz when you are ready to pay, and we will send a new dog tag to you.
To update your details and to pay your annual registration fees online, visit waimakariri.govt.nz/dogs.
