After a successful inaugural event in 2024, the Violence Free North Canterbury Quiz Night returns on Friday 6 June at the Rangiora RSA.

The event encourages teams of 4-6 to enjoy a night of trivia, raffles and a silent auction. All funds raised from the quiz night go towards initiatives to eradicate family violence in North Canterbury.

Last year’s quiz night drew over one hundred people and raised $3,000 from ticket sales and raffles. Violence Free North Canterbury Coordinator Alyssa Bright said the event was a great success.

“We had no idea what a memorable night our first quiz night would be – it was so fun, and such a great turnout!

“But honestly, more than a great night out, it was a powerful example of how our community loves coming together to make a real difference. Thanks to the funds raised last year, we were able to help deliver healthy relationship education to North Canterbury students, spark conversations about family violence through public campaigns, and support our incredible frontline workers who are supporting families across our community every day.

“We can’t wait for another great night!”
