Welcome packs

The Council sends 'welcome packs' to anyone buying a property in the Waimakariri District. These packs contain lots of useful brochures. The packs can also be picked up from the foyer of Rangiora Service Centre.

Welcome Bags

There is a community Welcome Bag available for all new residents coming into our community. These packs contain lots of useful information brochures, including the Waimakariri Sports, Hobbies and Recreation Directory (pdf, 1.4 MB). Ask at the service desk for your 'Welcome Bag'.

Newcomers Network

The Newcomers Network was established through Neighbourhood Support to welcome people to North Canterbury. They hold regular gatherings, covering a variety of interests, the details of which can be obtained through the Newcomers Network website.

Neighbourhood Support

Neighbourhood Support works closely with the Police and many other organisations in our community to make our homes, streets, neighbourhoods and communities safer.
