This notice provides a project update for the Woodend to Ravenswood Path.
Since the previous information notice circulated in December 2023, funding has been allocated to construct key portions of the Kaiapoi to Woodend Path. The first portion to be completed is a path from Chinnerys Road through to the shared path within Ravenswood. This will vary from 2.0m to 2.5m in width and will utilise both existing sealed shoulder and newly constructed path.
The work will include
- Kerb and channel construction outside St Barnabas Church and Chinnerys Road intersection.
- Associated drainage works.
- Path construction including concrete separators between the existing road and new path for safety awareness.
Timing of work
The contract is due to be placed out for tender in August 2025, upon awardance an additional information notice will be circulated with proposed construction timeframes and contractor details.
How the work may affect you
The works to be completed are in the road reserve. During work hours, we are expecting that access may be
limited to properties on the northern side of State Highway 1. However, residents living inside the work area will continue to have access outside of business hours and will be permitted to enter the work area if necessary.
Traffic impacts
The works will only impact the carriageway to a minimal extent, some delays may occur during these times. If any closures are required, additional communications will be communicated in advance.
