As part of the Waimakariri District Council Maintenance Contract, Corde will be carrying out pavement repairs on Boundary Road, between Two Chain Road/Swannanoa Road and Oxford Road.
There will be several worksites at various locations along the full length of Boundary Road, indicated as sites A, B, C and D on the diagram below. These sites will be carried out in two stages.
Stage 1
Commencing on 17 November, and will include a gravel overlay at Site A, and pavement repairs at Sites B and C. The road closure for these works will require the Stage 1 detour routes as per the diagram below. However, once Site B has been completed, the closure will be reduced to east of the Kennedys Road intersection.
Stage 2
This will see the area of road closure reduced to between Two Chain Road/Swannanoa Road and Kennedys Road (refer to the Stage 2 detour routes map below). Works at Site C should be completed by 20/21 November, and the road closure will then be shortened even further to just west of Site A. The detour routes for Stage 2 will remain applicable until completion of all work.
The main traffic detour will be via Oxford Road. Residents only access will be allowed into the closure but, while construction is underway, please ensure you:
- Identify yourselves to staff on site
- Limit your speed to 30km/h
- Note that this is an active worksite containing heavy construction machinery and a varying road surface, and drive accordingly.
There will be some dust and noise created during construction. We trust you understand that this is normal construction practice, and we will endeavor to keep any inconvenience to a minimum.
We thank you in advance for your understanding. Should you require further information, please phone one of the people adjacent, or talk to the site foreman.
