Waimakariri District Council are looking at what additional services can open while still playing a part in protecting public health as the country moves to COVID-19 alert level 3 next week.
In a first for the District, the Waimakariri District Council will live stream two meetings next week, as it looks to find new ways to support residents and keep them up to date during the lockdown.

We hope that you all had a relaxing and peaceful Easter weekend with your bubble. As we move forward through the lockdown the Council is looking at how it can best support the community from response and into recovery.
Burnt oranges, reds and golds are creating a beautiful seasonal scene across the Waimakariri District, as falling temperatures and turning leaves mark the arrival of autumn. With the beauty, also comes the drop of leaves along the footpaths and gutters of tree-lined streets.
Council staff has been sharing hints and tips with each other on things to do over the weekend from Netflix recommendations to trying new recipes. So we thought it might be good to share some of the online options we found locally, nationally and from around the world that might keep you entertained at home.
