Stormwater upgrade at 35 Ranfurly Street.
The existing stormwater drainage system through 35 Ranfurly Street is undersized for the catchment and in poor condition, having required repairs in the past. The Council has engaged Morland Contracting South Limited to complete the upgrade of this system.
The work will include
- The replacement of existing DN300 stormwater pipes and a manhole within 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi with new DN525 concrete pipe stormwater pipes from the west side of Ranfurly Street to the outlet at the Cam River
- A new catch pit with Litta Traps will be installed on Ranfurly Street, replacing two of the existing manholes, for pre-treatment of stormwater prior to discharge into the Cam River
- Minor water upgrades in the footpath may be required depending on the existing pipe condition. This will be confirmed once works begin.
