The existing 150mm water main is undersized and is no longer meeting its levels of service requirements. A new 200mm water main is to be installed in addition to the existing main which will ensure that both flow and pressure are maintained.

The work will include
Laying a new water main along the northern side of Northbrook Road between the railway corridor and the East Belt.

Timing of work
The work is expected to take place towards the end of 2025.

How the work may affect you
There may be some minor disruption to your water supply, but this will be communicated more clearly closer to construction starting.

Further information will be provided to you closer to the time of the work starting.

Traffic impacts
At times during construction this section of Northbrook Road may be down to one lane with temporary traffic signals in place.

General impacts

Hours
All work will be undertaken Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm.

Weather
In the event of bad weather or for unforeseen circumstances, the work may be delayed.

Safety
Please warn your children of the dangers posed by road works. Ensure that they stay well back from the work site and they follow the directions of the workers.
