See the latest roadworks starting Saturday 27 July.
- River Road has been reopened to two-way traffic, some minor works are still required, but two-directional traffic will be maintained going forward.
- Work is continuing on concurrent water/sewer/stormwater upgrades at the King Street/Blackett Street roundabout with the full closure. Please continue to use alternative north-south and east-west routes such as West Belt or White Street, Ashley Steet, Kingsbury Ave, and Queen Street or Johns Road. Following on from this closure, work on the water main will continue east along Blackett Street over the next few months, eventually finishing on the opposite side of East Belt. Updated details will continue to be provided as the work progresses.
- Island Road, Kaiapoi is due to be closed between Audley Street and Greengrass Crescent from 15 July for 3 weeks for service connections to The Sterling development. The work is complicated by existing underground infrastructure in the vicinity. Detours will be in place via Silverstream Boulevard and Sneyd Street.
- Tunas Street, Kaiapoi is due to be closed southbound from Camleigh Close to Smith Street for a new watermain to be installed, from 5 August for 3 weeks.
