Road Re-Sealing - Chip Seal
Where:
Cones Road, between Fawcetts Road and Dixons Road (as indicated within the highlighted area on the map over the page).
When:
Proposed Start date: 12th April, expected completion on this date with post-seal care expected within seven working days. Hours of work will be between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Why:
These works form part of the annual resealing program for the Waimakariri District Council. Road resealing serves two vital functions: waterproofing of the road, protecting the structure beneath, and renewing the surface texture, which improves grip and safety for road users.

Additional Information
- In the event of inclement weather, work will be reprogrammed, and a follow-up notice with the new date will be provided.
- Please advise us if you have specific property access requirements, e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, or planned works.
- On-street parking will be unavailable within the construction area. Please do not park within the no-parking coned-off area. Vehicles remaining within the construction work area may be towed to another road/street nearby if parked within the no-parking area.
- There will be a Stop/Go operating and Traffic Management staff will be on site. Emergency access and resident access will be maintained where possible. Please note that there could be delays while our work is underway.
- Following resurfacing, a sweeper truck will be on-site to remove loose sealing chip, and road markings will be reinstated where needed.
- Pet owners are advised to keep animals inside private property during construction.
- There may be occasional construction-related noise and vibration. The contractor will take all reasonable measures to keep these disruptions to a minimum.
- If walking through the construction site, please ensure that your footwear is clear of any materials or debris before entering your property to avoid damage to flooring, etc.
