Each year we celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi with a public holiday on 6 February.
This year Waitangi Day falls on a Tuesday. Below are details how various Council services are affected.
Council Service Centres and Libraries
All Council Service Centres and Libraries closed for the public holiday.
Kerbside Recycling
No change to kerbside collections.
Transfer Stations
There is no change to the transfer station opening hours for this public holiday.
Details of regular opening hours are:
- The Southbrook (Rangiora) Transfer Station and the Resource Recovery Shop is open daily from 8.30am to 4.30pm
- The Oxford Transfer Station is open on Friday 12.30pm to 4.30pm and Sunday 12 noon to 4.30pm.
Aquatic Facilities
Our swimming pools will be open 10am - 7pm.
