The existing main along McGraths Road and Island Road are due for renewal as part of the Oxford Rural No. 1 water main renewals programme. The work will include installation of a new water main from 202 Island Road to 90 McGraths Road within the berm. New lateral connections will be installed to the service box at the property boundary, which will also be upgraded as required.

Timing of work

Work will begin on 28 April 2025 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2025.

How the work may affect you

Water Services may temporarily be suspended while connecting the new water main into the existing network. You will be notified in advance by the contractor if and when this is happening to your property.

Traffic impacts

While the pipe is being installed within the berm, there will be a shoulder closure in place. When contractors move on to working under the road there will be stop/go traffic management in place.

General impacts

Notice of changes in traffic management. We will do our best to give you enough notice to adjust to any changes in traffic management, please keep an eye out for more updates.

Hours

All work will be undertaken between 7.30am and 5pm.

In the event of bad weather or for unforeseen circumstances, the work may be delayed.
