Drainage Improvements - Upper Sefton Road

The existing stormwater drain outside 31 Upper Sefton Road is being improved.

The stormwater drain outside 31 Upper Sefton Road is at risk of erosion and overflowing during a larger rain event. Work is being undertaken to reduce to risk of this happening in the future.

The work will include

  • Lowering of existing water main
  • Reshaping the drain outside 31 Upper Sefton Road
  • Constructing a timber retaining wall to prevent roadside erosio
  • Modifying the existing concrete structure in the drin to prevent water overflowing
  • Modifying the fencing to align with the newly reshaped cabing

Timing of work
The work is planned to start 10 February 2025 and is aimed to be compelted by 28 March 2025.

Traffic impacts
Traffic lights will be in operation on Upper Sefton Road for approximately three weeks from late February so expect delays.

7am to 5pm

Weather
In the event of bad weather or for unforeseen circumstances, the work may be delayed.

Safety
Please warn your children of the dangers posed by road works. Ensure that they stay well back from the work site and they follow the directions of the workers.
