A new stormwater main will be constructed along School Road to improve drainage in the area.

The new stormwater main will run from Gibbs Drive to Main North Road (SH1) where it will connect back into the existing stormwater network.

Timing of work
The work is scheduled to begin in early January 2025, with an expected completion time of 3-4 weeks.

Additionally, please be aware that watermain upgrades are planned at the opposite end of School Road and along Rangiora Woodend Road. This is a separate project, set to take place around the same time as the drainage improvements. As a result, construction may continue in the area beyond the 3-4 week time frame needed for the drainage works.

Traffic impacts
There will be traffic impacts while the works are carried out, prior notification will provided if any detours are required, otherwise please take care navigating the cones and signs when they are set up.
