The intersection of Oxford Road and Lehmans Road will be disrupted in the coming weeks as contractors work on underground services as part of the Oxford Road improvements project.
Road users heading into Rangiora from the west will be familiar with the work that has been underway between Charles Upham Drive and Westpark Boulevard, with stormwater pipes and new kerb and channel now installed.
From Monday 10 February work is planned to upgrade a stormwater culvert on both sides of Oxford Road at the intersection of Lehmans Road, and will create detours for east and westbound traffic.

Contractors advises the dates are approximate, as much depends on the ground conditions. Road users are asked to follow on-site traffic signage and follow the suggested detour routes.
Following this underground work, minor drainage improvements will be carried out in the at the Lehmans Road and Oxford Road intersection, as well as the installation of a new footpath and street lighting along Oxford Road between Westpark Boulevard and Charles Upham Drive.
All work is expected to be completed near the end of March.
