Boil Water Remains in Place for Oxford Rural No.1 Scheme

Published: 28-May-2018

All daily samples taken on the Oxford Rural No.1 water supply scheme since Friday have been clear of E. coli. While this has given staff some confidence, further investigation and advice is required before the boil water notice can be lifted.

This will include further investigation into potential causes of the incident, as well as expert advice on strategies to manage the risk going forward, followed by discussion with the drinking water assessors from Community Public Health. Boiling kettle

For this reason, it is expected that the boil water notice will remain in place for at least another week. Further advice and a decision moving forward for the scheme is expected next week.

Keep an eye on the Council's website and Facebook page for further updates.
