Pooches Urge Public To "Pupdate" Their Details

The district’s four-legged residents are hogging the limelight this week as the council starts a new campaign targeting dog owners.

With new dog registrations being sent out in June, the council are encouraging people to make sure their contact and dog’s details are correct now.

The four dogs featured in the video all belong to council staff, and are shown in a variety of cute and comical situations. “Poppy” looks rather comfortable inside a gift-box, complete with pink bow upon her head.  While glowing Golden Retriever, “Layla”, features in a dreamy doggy heaven equipped with wings and halo.  Perhaps the best moment however is saved for Cairn Terrier, “Beau”, who gets scanned through the libraries’ book checkout kiosk.

Dog owners are being asked the following questions:

  • Have I changed address or have my contact details changed?
  • Have I got a new dog, or has a dog passed away?
  • Has my dog recently been desexed or microchipped?

If the answer to any of the questions is yes, the council needs to be notified in writing.  This can be done at any council service centre or by emailing the council office.
