Lake Pegasus Health Warning Lifted

Following negative tests for cyanobacteria last week, Environment Canterbury has lifted the health warning on Lake Pegasus that had previously been in place.

StoneECan has conducted thorough testing on the lake, with the last five samples, taken through the last five weeks dating back to March 15, all reporting cyanobacteria volumes within guideline values for recreation to be allowed to safely resume on the lake.

There are also now no visual signs of cyanobacteria present on the lake.

The lifting of the health warning will see all warning signs removed from the vicinity.
