Six line up for Woodend-Sefton Community Board spot

Six candidates will vie for the vacant position on the Woodend-Sefton Community Board after nominations closed for next year’s by-election.

Woodend Aerial MapThe position on the newly constituted Board was vacated by the late Karen Eastwood, with the election to take place by postal vote, closing on Friday February 17th.

Voting papers will be sent out between January 26-31, with votes accepted from the 26th.

Residents and ratepayers within the Woodend-Sefton Community area who are not listed on the electoral roll, can enrol at Post Shops, or by visiting the website up to 4pm on Thursday February 16th.

Special voting facilities will be available at the Council’s Rangiora Service Centre during normal office hours.

Voting papers must be posted back by Monday February 13th to ensure they are in the hands of the Electoral Officer before the election closes.

Hand delivered ballots will be accepted at the Council Service Centre until noon on February 17th.
