There are different charges depending on what category your organisation fits into.

Community & Individual

Non-profit community social support groups & non-profit casual private events. Education groups, schools, preschools/playgroups and casual Government bookings.

  • $ 10 per hour

Tutors / Coaching

Events when there is an admission charge for classes either nightly or on a lesson basis that is beyond the gold coin donation.

  • $ 15 per hour


Profit generating corporates or activities (e.g commercial activities, programmes or events commercial seminars)

  • $ 28.75 per hour

How to book

If you conduct activities in the Mill Room that may involve the use of electrical equipment or the consumption of alcohol you may be required to complete a Health and Safety Plan for your event. If this is the case please download the H&S plan using the link below and submit it with your booking.

If you are unsure if a plan is required please contact Waimakariri District Council Customer Services on 0800 965 468 and Council staff will be able to assist you.
