Anzac Day is on Tuesday 25 April. It commemorates New Zealanders killed in war and honours returned servicemen and women.
A number of Anzac Day Parades and Citizens Memorial Services are being held throughout the Waimakariri District. All are welcome to attend.
Changes to Council Services
Council Service Centres:
- All service centres are closed
- Urgent issues should be phoned through to 0800 965 468 to connect with our after hours service.

- ANZAC Day 10am-7pm
Transfer Stations
- Southbrook Transfer Station is closed all day on ANZAC Day 25 April.
- Oxford Transfer Station is closed as usual
Kerbside Collection
- ANZAC collections moved to following day (Wednesday), all other days also moved to the day after their scheduled day – so that means the Friday collection will be moved to the Saturday.
