Let's Talk About Owen Stalker Park

Owen Stalker Park is due for an upgrade, and the Council are about to put together a concept plan. We want to hear your thoughts.

To understand the needs of people who use this park, and to reflect them in the overall design, we want you to be part of the process and share you thoughts and ideas. These will help to develop a concept plan for this area.

Owen Stalker Park is a large park connected to both Woodend School and the Woodend Recreation Reserve. It includes a playground, open grass areas, a BMX track, and in the wider reserve are tennis courts, sports fields and a skate board half-pipe. While the current budget is specifically focused on upgrading the play area, Council would also like to hear from the community about other opportunities to improve the whole park while this work is being done.

We would like you to think about:

  • What you use Owen Stalker Park for
  • What things you like at the park
  • What you would like to see in the play space
  • How the wider park could be improved.

This information will be used to create a concept plan for the park development. We will then consult with the community again asking for feedback on the draft design. The plan will then be considered by the Woodend Sefton Community Board for final approval.
