About Waikuku Beach Entrance Sign

The Woodend-Sefton Community Board are currently considering three potential designs for an entrance sign to the Waikuku Beach Community to be sited in the location shown on the map below.

This followed a workshop with the Woodend-Sefton Community Board in October 2018, when staff were asked to prepare a report providing details about potential projects on which the Woodend-Sefton General Landscape Budget could be used.

The first option reflects the beach feel bringing in surfboards that are staggered to create dimension.

The second option continues the  beach vibe highlighting the waves of the sea and incorporating the New Zealand jandal icon.

Option three provides an abstract view of the landscape including the sea, the beach and the greenspaces. It is proposed that macrocarpa posts are used to support the signage.

We will be at the Waikuku Beach Hall on Thursday 28 March between 6pm and 7:30pm and would love to hear what you think about the ideas and any feedback you have which may make them even better.

Please come along to the drop in session and let us know your ideas and preferences. Your feedback will help the Board make a decision.

Please tell us what you think by
5pm, Friday 5 April 2019.
