Requests for Plan Changes  
All requests made pursuant to section 73(c) of the Act for a change to a plan. Actual cost will be charged (refer schedule below). $4,600.00 deposit
Hearing expenses for all hearings held - includes time for site visit, hearing, decision and hearing minutes  
Staff support and planning officer time charged at actual hours, plus:  
Hearing panel consisting of Councillors:
 
Chairperson of the hearing, per hour $97.75
Additional panel members (minimum 2), per hour, per panel member $78.20
If the hearing is before commissioners independent of the Council At cost
Schedule  
Where the Council charges are based on the recovery of Council costs, these will be calculated as follows:  
Reporting officers, per hour $109.25
Clerical support, per hour $80.50
Commissioned reports, e.g. rural consultant's report or valuation requested by Council At cost
Expenses (advertising, notices, copying etc.) At cost
Reduction of Deposits  
Applicants can request reductions of the deposit amounts in special circumstances. These requests can be approved at the discretion of the District Plan Manager.  
   
Other than previously set out where the cost of processing an application exceeds the fixed fee by more than 30%, the additional charges (beyond the 30% margin) will be invoiced on a cost recovery basis as per the hourly rate schedule. Applicants will be notified if this provision is invoked.
