Woodend Pegasus Development Strategy Project
The Waimakariri District Council has commenced work for the preparation of a Woodend Pegasus Development Strategy. Issues to be addressed in the Woodend Pegasus Development Strategy focus around population, business and town centre, connectivity and community.
Steering Group
A Woodend Pegasus Development Strategy Steering Group (pdf, 17 kB) has been formed to oversee the development of a Strategy document. This group, supported by Council staff, includes Mayor Ayers (Chair) and three Councillors, three members of the Woodend-Ashley Community Board, the Chairs of the Woodend and Pegasus Residents Associations, the Chairs of the Boards of Trustees of the Woodend and Waikuku Schools, and business representatives from Woodend and Pegasus.
Woodend Pegasus Update
The Waimakariri District Council held
a 'Future Options for Woodend Pegasus' community meeting on 30 August
2012. At this meeting Council staff reported the key findings of the
Woodend Community Issues Survey, discussed an approach to developing a
Woodend Pegasus Development Strategy including what the Strategy might
consider, and asked for feedback for some short-term and medium to
long-term opportunities for the Woodend Pegasus area.
