Better Beaches
Our 'Better Beaches' consultation was a three-part statutory consultation process:
- To improve public safety, particularly for pedestrians and swimmers
- To protect the sand dunes and the Ashley Rakahuri River mouth estuary from vehicle damage
- To protect indigenous vegetation and wildlife on the beaches.
District Plan Change 26
District Plan Change 26 has now been adopted by the Council. No appeals were received.
