Waimakariri Health Advisory Group Needs You

Published: 25-Sep-2017

Do you have an interest in making sure that our District has the health services it needs? Would you be happy to advocate on behalf of our district?  If this sound like you then the Waimakariri Health Advisory Group (WHAG) is looking for an Independent Chairperson to lead this innovative group!

WHAGWHAG was established in 2004 and members currently represent a cross section of 12 health sectors, and 2 Primary Health Organisations.  Their role is to provide advice to the Waimakariri District Council on health issues, to be a forum where health needs are discussed and to progress shared solutions and approaches across the District.

The independent Chairperson would chair the monthly meeting and act as a conduit for information to share with the wider group and community, as required.

This is a voluntary position and involves an application process.  For more information please contact Madeleine Burdon on 0800 965 468 ext 8899 or email madeleine.burdon@wmk.govt.nz or download from our website www.waimakariri.govt.nz

Applications (in writing) close on 5pm Friday, 6 October 2017.
