The Environment Canterbury Harbourmaster’s
Office has approved the lifting of the speed restriction and allowed use of the
Kaiapoi River to be restricted to Coastguard & Waikuku Surf Lifesaving Club
in the stretch of river from Bowler Street to 230 metres upstream to the edge
of the Cure Boating Club boat ramp (refer to map graphic below).
