River Road, between Lehmans Road and West Belt has now been sealed to encourage heavy traffic to bypass West Belt.
To improve safety at the intersection of West Belt and River Road, the Council has agreed to change the priority of traffic on these roads. River Road traffic will have priority, with a new stop intersection to be installed on West Belt. Some kerbing and a new splitter island will be installed as part of the work, which is due to start on Monday 3 July 2017.
