While the District’s infrastructure was unaffected by last
week’s heavy rain, operating smoothly throughout, this second rain band is
striking a ground still saturated from the previous downpour.
That is likely to lead to more surface water this time, with
potential for minor flooding on roadways, as well as swollen waterways.
So extra care is needed.
