Recycling symbols, labels and signage

It is important to provide staff with information about the recycling system, and part of this is clear signage and labelling. The Recycling Symbols shown in the poster below have been developed to encourage the standardisation of recycling signage throughout New Zealand, enhance public participation in recycling and facilitate the correct separation of materials.
An extensive range of symbols are now available covering a number of classifications of material: glass, paper, metal, plastic, construction, organic, inorganic, and other. Each classification is differentiated by colour making it easier to identify the different material types.
Recycling symbols can be downloaded from the RONZ website or ordered on CD from RONZ, labels can be ordered from RONZ directly, or your recycling services provider may be able to supply you with appropriate labels.
