There are a range of Council roading projects planned or currently under way.
Each year the Council approves a roading capital works programme for the current year plus an indicative programme for the following three years. The programme for the 2011/12 year was approved by the Utilities and Roading Committee on 21 June 2011. The indicative programme for the 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15 years was also endorsed by the Committee.
The Council welcomes feedback on this programme and invites suggestions on where improvement works could be undertaken in the future.
As a result of the red zone announcements and the subsequent change to the rebuild programme in Kaiapoi, it has been necessary to make changes to the 2011/12 Minor Improvements Programme. The Utilities and Roading Committee approved these changes at its meeting on 18 October.
