Note: The text alerts are for both the Ashley and Old Waimakariri Bridges. There isn't an option to just receive alerts for just one of the bridges.
Waimakariri Gorge Bridge
The Waimakariri Gorge Bridge will be temporarily closed at night time for periods between 29 February and 27 March 2012. Please refer to our Road Closures page for the dates and times of closure.
Detours
Old Waimakariri Bridge
In case of closure of the Old Waimakariri Bridge, drivers are asked to detour via the motorway bridge on SH 1.
Ashley Bridge (Cones Road)
In case of closure of the Ashley Bridge at Cones Road, drivers are asked to use the detour below.
