NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF PETRIES ROAD

Members of the public are advised that the following road will be temporarily closed to all motor vehicles for the period shown to allow for an extension of the current road closure to install new sewer and stormwater.

Road to be Closed:
Petries Road from Gladstone Road to number 28 Petries Road

Period of Closure:
7 am 20 February 2017 to 5 pm 31 July 2017

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE PART OF GILES ROAD, KAIAPOI

Members of the public are advised that the following road will be temporarily closed to all motor vehicles for the period shown to allow for the construction of a new arterial road.

Road to be Closed:
Giles Road from Island Road to number 261 Giles Road including the Butchers Road Ford

Period of Closure:
9am Tuesday 31 January until 5pm Saturday 28 April 2017

Affected properties will be notified. Detours will be in place.

Swannanoa Country Fair Traffic Management

Speed reduction and event signs will be in place for the Swannanoa Country Fair on Tram Road between Two Chain Road & 10 Road on Sunday, 5 March 2017 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Pedestrians

  • Pedestrians will be directed to use the path on the other side of the road.
  • Pedestrians will be directed to a temporary footpath in the carriageway.
  • Pedestrians will be escorted through the site.
  • If a short term closure of the footpath (<5min) for site access is required, a spotter is to be used and any pedestrians are either asked to wait or walked around the plant when safe to do so.

Buses

  • N/A

Cyclists

  • A 30kph TSL will be established if cyclists are to be merged with traffic during these works.

Schools

  • Not conducted during normal school days.

Other

  • Side roads set-out as per CoPTTM

Vehicles will enter and leave the work site with the traffic flow, with Beacons Active. Vehicles not directly involved in the works will be legally parked.

Closure are made in accordance with Section 11(a) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974 and will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of the Fire Service, Ambulance, Police, Council vehicles and other vehicles authorised by the Council.
