The Oxford Town Hall is closed until either seismic strengthening is completed or the Council has decided on the future of the building.
The Oxford Town Hall opened in 1931 and is a significant presence in the centre of Oxford. The main hall features a stage and ground floor area, as well as a sizeable upper balcony with fixed seating. Toilets are located off the main entrance foyer. A supper room alongside the main hall is serviced by a spacious kitchen. This wing of the building (known as the A&P Hall) can also be booked separately for smaller functions. It caters for up to 60 people. The main hall can accommodate up to 170, with a further 65 seats making up the balcony.
In addition to regular movie showings and a craft market, the hall regularly plays host to local community groups, service organisations and schools. Casual hire is available for a range of functions or events.
Off-street parking is available alongside the hall.
