Holiday Parks
There are four holiday parks or motor camps sited on Council land within the Waimakariri District. Three are located at coastal settlements along Pegasus Bay and the other one is at the base of the Canterbury foothills near Oxford. They are leased and run as private businesses.
Freedom Camping
No Council-administered coastal areas, reserves or roadsides within the Waimakariri District are designated for freedom camping.
Effluent Dumping
Roadside dump stations are provided at three locations:
- 75 Charles Street, Kaiapoi
- 22 Railway Road, Rangiora
- 90 High Street, Oxford.
