Canterbury Earthquake Response Fund
The Canterbury Earthquake Community Response Fund was established to support social service providers after the two recent earthquakes on 22 February 2011 and 4 September 2010.
Waimakariri Earthquake Relief Fund
Thanks to the support of businesses and people from around New Zealand and, in some cases, internationally, the Waimakariri Earthquake Relief Fund was established following the 4 September earthquake. The Council oversees the application of those contributions.
If you have suffered hardship as a result of the earthquake, you can apply for a relief grant (normally $250).
Bennett Ostler and Jaycee Charitable Trust
Looking for funding and based in Kaiapoi? The Bennett Ostler and Jaycee Charitable Trust is a Kaiapoi-based trust that has a small amount of money available for funding requests. Your group must be resident in Kaiapoi for eligibility.
Please apply in writing by Friday, 27 April 2012 to the Administration Officer Kaiapoi, Waimakariri District Council, Private Bag 1005, Rangiora 7440.

Council Funding
To apply for Council funding, groups and individuals can make a submission on the Draft Annual Plan or Ten Year Plan. Applicants can make submissions to the Council
for variations to the plan, including financial support.
The process begins around November for decisions affecting the Council budget for the next financial year, which begins on 1 July.
Events Funding (Visit Waimakariri)
Seed Funding
For large events, seed funding of up to
$3,750 is available (events approved are entitled to apply for repeat
seed funding for a further two years). Applications close 31 March and 30 September.
Community Events
Funding of up to $5,000 per annum (four
rounds quarterly) and grants up to $750 are available. Applications close on the first
day of March, June, September and December.
