Networking Events and Presentationsprint

This page is about the monthly networking meetings and presentations that take place for voluntary, non-government and government sector organisations in the District.

Waimakariri Networking Meetings and Presentations 2011

The monthly meetings and presentations provide an opportunity for networking and information sharing amongst members of the voluntary, non-government and government sectors. They also help to enhance the support and collaboration between all providers who deliver services to the people living in the Waimakariri and North Canterbury communities.

Topics/Issues Discussed

The topics discussed will help you familiarise yourself with the changes taking place in the District and how this will impact on people you work alongside. Presentations are organised as emerging issues are identified (e.g. youth unemployment and emergency housing) and/or as topics of specific interest to the community sector arise (e.g. the Whanau Ora initiative).

When Do the Meetings/Presentations Take Place?

The meetings/presentations occur around the District on the second Tuesday of each month. Networking meetings are between 12 noon -1 pm and follow on from a presentation if one has been organised.

Notes are taken at the meeting and can be made available by contacting the facilitator if you are unable to attend. Feel free to bring your questions and we will provide hand-outs on the day, along with refreshments.
